Ouagadougou

A dust green oasis. An outpost on the edge of the world's greatest desert.

Humanity persists.

A vulnerable resilience, which needs no assistance. Man, woman, and child taking life as it comes.

The Burkinabe, shaded from sun by electric blues, emerald greens, earthy browns. Red dust fills the air as men and women pound the pavement.

The Burkinabe speak, their voice captivates as you breath them in.

There’s something about this place.

The quiet noise of motorbikes. The women, heads high, holding on strong - yet so vulnerable as they ride past silently, carrying young lives on their backs. Little more than god's invisible arms to guide them safely to their destination.
